Sea of Junk

lyrics

Can I just sit in the dark?
Or stand in this waterpark

When does life become
a sink without a plug

We watched you swim through the undertow
the lifeguards blew their whistles but you ignored the call
sometimes I think your mind goes blank
an empty fish tank replaced with 90 proof alcohol
and I envy how you're never scared of anything at all

when does life destruct?
Or is it just yourself in a rut

We led you to a cul de sac
the circle drew you in then spit you back

Sometimes I wonder if this town is worth it's price and shade
an impulse upgrade
all for a head start to your grave

When does life become
an excel spreadsheet with a coffee cup

And I can't sit for that long
and I couldn't ever be that strong
fake hands pulling you along
to a place where you don't belong

Once you lose your grip your in the hands of anyone
anyone.

Can I just sit in the dark?
Or stand in this waterpark

When does life become
memories washed up in a sea of junk
